One-Line Bio

everything i ever needed to know i learned in the kitchen

Biography

My name is Dorette Snover and you may also know me as the owner/chef of the cooking school, C'est si Bon!

Planting Cabbages endeavors to document the challenges of combining fiction writing and the culinary arts.

The name jumped from a translated quote in the Essays of Michel de Montaigne.

"I want death to find me planting cabbages."

Now, you won't find me lurking around the garden just waiting for Death to show up -but instead involved in research for novels-in-progress, sharing recipes and culinary arts dilemmas, adventures with colleagues (in far flung lands or right next door) and yes, garden triumphs and not-so.

I invite you to follow along - and also to plant, harvest, and saute your own cabbages; wherever and whatever they might be.
